A TISCA event for Heads, Senior Leaders, Governors & Chaplains
TISCA are hosting this popular and anticipated event after feedback from TISCA members. Details for the event and ways to book can be found in this blog.
Date: Thursday, 5th March 2020 (1000-1545) – to include refreshments and a working, light, lunch – registration from 1000 with tea and coffee available
Venue: The Mary Sumner Conference Hall, 24 Tufton Street, Westminster London SW1P 3RB
Cost: £100 per head for delegates from member schools or individual TISCA members; £120 per head for non-members
Additional information: This event is being supported by Barlow Robbins, Solicitors, and Christian Legal Concern (CLC). It will largely be for information sharing, fellowship, networking and encouragement.
Speakers: Planned speakers include Adam McRae-Taylor (Barlow Robbins); Roger Kiska (CLC), Phil Jack, (Canford School), Peter Woodroffe (ISA) & John Denning (Christian Institute), Frankie Knight (TISCA). Q and A chaired by Anthony Buckley (TISCA Chair).
Topics to be covered will include:
- legal issues: employment, gender, LGBT+, uniform, assemblies / chapels, current school legislation (such as RSE) impacting the independent sector (especially where it might impinge on issues of Christian faith and ethos)
- practical advice: inspection (Ofsted and ISI), parents and complaints, safeguarding and bullying
- a panel of speakers for Q&A
